Deborah Camasta
Stylist
Deborah is a highly sought after stylist due to her skill set and ability to bring out the natural beauty in every person.
Her diverse repertoire includes cuts and styling (for men and women), transforming looks using hair color such as foils and balayage. From ombré, tint, grey blending, and relaxers, to permanent waving (modern); Deborah has experience with them all.
With Deborah’s length of time in the industry – 29 years and counting -– she has developed a talent for all aspects of hair. Her biggest strength is working with her clients desires and matching it with their needs, in order to create their own personal look. Her passion for her work comes out when performing services such as texture, color treatments, and specialized cutting. Men’s cutting is a strength for Deborah – she understands the importance of a men’s haircut as being a big part of his appearance and first impression to others. Another strength are her color treatments; her creative outlet can be expressed through free-hand coloring like balayage and hair painting. The years of service and education she has dedicated to performing these skills has made her an invaluable stylist at Urban Village.
In regards to learning and building her versatile skill set, Deborah assisted the Bespoke Hair Artisans advanced training program in hair coloring, haircutting and styling, and mentored others in developing their talents. She was also an Advanced Education Trainer for Juut Salonspa for five years where she was able to implement the skills she gained from being an Educator for Aveda Corporate early in her career.
Deborah has performed as a guest artist at many hair shows such as Minnesota Salon & Spa Association. Deeming herself as an education enthusiast, Deborah has completed advanced training programs with the following Artist’s & Academies: Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, Rodney Cutler, Ruth Roche, Horst Rechelbacher, Vivian Mackinder, Aveda Advanced Academy, Yosh Toya, L’Oreal Academy, Oribe, Wachs, American Crew, Bumble and Bumble, Van Michael, Ray Civello, Kerastase, and Antoinette Beenders. Deb continues to attend multiple hair shows and classes annually to stay up and current on hair trends.
Deborah says “I still love every minute of my day creating wearable fashion for my clients. Working in a historical neighborhood near where I grew up only makes my passion stronger. The love for my neighborhood and my city excites me to create beauty for my clients.”
Deborah’s passion for hair expands into her passion for life. A spontaneous, driven, travel-lover (has visited over 20 countries), and outdoorswoman as well as attending outdoor festivals, Deborah has the energy and curiosity to keep exploring and always be learning. With a deep love for her hometown, the MN State Fair is an annual-must along their milkshakes and roasted corn. Are you in the neighborhood? Stop at Deborah’s favorite restaurant located around the corner – Moscow on the Hill – and you might spy her sipping a classic martini at the bar.
